Going Viral By Accident

This is such a great story for a number of reasons; I just had to share it with you.  I don't want to get into the rights and wrongs of Bratz dolls, but the transformations are fantastic, I want one!

I also love the recycling element, taking something that is destined for landfill and with a little love and care making it useable again, that can only be a good thing.

And finally, just look at the impact one woman with a great idea, a FaceBook account can have.  Sonia Singh, the dolls creator, posted a few photos of the dolls on FaceBook to her 200 friends. They went viral “by accident” and sparked a global conversation. A short video of her story was posted onto FaceBook in February, within a few days it had over 25 million views.

We often hear about the unpleasant side of social media, trolling and sinister lurkers. But I really think it does lots of brilliant things too. It gives us all the opportunity to reach people and connect ideas.

Take a look.
